SCHOOL CHILDREN WRITE TO THE FAMILIES OF FALLEN SOLDIERS

            The deadliest terrorist attack on the Security Forces the 18th September at the Uri sector in Baramulla district in J&K has claimed a toll of 19 among our brave soldiers.
            In an emotional gesture to console the families of the fallen soldiers, the School Pupils have written personal letters to their Kith and Kin and shared their moments of tough time and expressed their solidarity.

            The School Administration sought the help of District Sainik Welfare Board  to deliver the letters to the intended destinations.

150 PATIENTS ATTENDED THE AYURVEDA CAMP


 
          On the occasion of the 60th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Shri Pramode Deshmukh, an Ayurveda Diagnosis and Treatment Camp was organized at the Champaben Nanalal Hospital, Sagroli, on 19th October.
            A team of Doctors led by renowned Ayurveda practitioner Dr. Amol Hingmire conducted the camp.  Around 150 men and women ailing from  health issues related to Acidity and Intestinal problems were attended to  and a suitable treatment was suggested.  The medicines were also distributed free of cost.

            At the concluding session, Dr. Hingmire addressed the gathering and spoke on the benefits of Ayurveda stream of medicine, Yoga and other Health practices.

A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP FOR THE TEACHERS ON 'CONSTRUCTIVISM'



          In accordance with the rapidly changing demands of education, the Government agencies are trying their best to define and develop the models of teaching and learning, time to time.
            Unfortunately, the new concepts are not properly propagated to the levels of teachers, who are supposed to manifest the innovative approaches.  As a result the entire system has been thrust in turmoil.  The teachers are not yet convinced with their role as a ‘Facilitator’ rather than a 'Dictator.'
            To address the issues, the SSM has organized a Two-day session for the 175 teachers serving various units in the campus.  A visiting team of experts in the field, Members on the Board of Studies, the Bureau of Text Book Production and Curriculum Research have discussed in detail on the scope of Constructivism, Activity based teaching, the National Curriculum Frame Work and new Policies of Education.

            The Two-day workshop , moved around the theme ‘21st Century Teacher’ and has been convincingly accomplished its objective.

A COLLECTIVE READING SESSION ON THE OCCASION OF THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM

 



          It was in 1955, that the founder of the Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal, Baba Saheb Deshmukh opened a Public Library at Sagroli.  He was a man of deed and had a clear vision.  The same library is now flourished with around 18,000 books available for the villagers and students.
          
  In a rejuvenation activity a book presentation and collective reading programme was  organized on the occasion of Dr. Kalam’s Birth Anniversary on 15th of October. An over whelming 3000 students and citizens have joined the activity.
            The three other units of Schools  and Colleges have also organized such activities to motivate their students towards ‘Reading Culture’.

            Many a literary competitions were also organized on the occasion.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION SPARKED INNOVATIVE IDEAS!!


A series of activities are planned on the occasion of the 60th Birth Anniversary of the Chairman, Shri Pramod Deshmukh.

            As a part of it, an Inter Schoo Science Exhibition was organized at the campus on 6th of October.  An enthusiastic response registered by as many as 50 Schools presenting around 100 innovative exhibits.
            The Occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar Rao, Vice Chancellor, SRT University, Nanded for the Inaugural Ceremony and Dr. Geetha Lathkar, Director MGM Colleges of Engineering, Nanded, for the Valedictory Function.  Both the elites have enlightened the students and teachers by their inspiring speeches.  The winners were duly felicitated.  All the other participants were too, well-appreciated and distributed mementoes and certificates.

FASHION SHOWS ARE NOT MEANT FOR THE URBANITES ALONE!!




Yes, in an event organized for the women of Sagroli, Its proved, ‘Change is happening!!’
 For the past few years, The Dasara Celebration has been a season of great relief for the women in the Campus and Village Sagroli.
            A series of entertainment programs, cultural events and competitions are organized during the Nine days (Durga Navratri).  Hundreds of women participate the events enthusiastically.

            
A Fashion Show cum Fancy Dress competition was conducted on the occasion.  A number of Participants presented Cat Walk on Stage in their conventional and modern costumes, representing Mythological, Historical and Modern Women Celebrities.  Apart from the fun time, the theme also reflected social awareness and integrity.

“KESHAV” MILK CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY INAUGURATED

Unemployment or situations like drought are not all about frustration. It does show a way, if you have a will. SSM organized a Study Tour to Gujarat with 20 rural young farmers from Village Sagroli and surrounding area. They visited various Co-operative Milk Societies, small and large scale dairy farms, interacted with the farmers, learnt much about dairy industry and returned with a determination.

            In less than a month, the “KESHAV” MILK CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY’ Sagroli was inaugurated on the auspicious Vijay Dashami (The Dasara) day i.e, on 11th October 2016.
            The dairy farmers has come together and formed a committee of 17 members to run the society. The Milk Society, which started functioning at a small scale, is likely to be expanded, as and how, the milk input increases.  A milk collection centre working at present buys and sells the raw milk brought by the local farmers, in the morning and evening, every day. As the farmers are the owner of the society, the profit will also be shared among themselves as a shareholder. The producers and consumers have expressed gratification as their need has been fulfilled.
