In accordance with the rapidly changing demands of education, the Government agencies are trying their best to define and develop the models of teaching and learning, time to time.
Unfortunately,
the new concepts are not properly propagated to the levels of teachers, who are
supposed to manifest the innovative approaches.
As a result the entire system has been thrust in turmoil. The teachers are not yet convinced with their
role as a ‘Facilitator’ rather than a 'Dictator.'
To
address the issues, the SSM has organized a Two-day session for the 175
teachers serving various units in the campus.
A visiting team of experts in the field, Members on the Board of
Studies, the Bureau of Text Book Production and Curriculum Research have
discussed in detail on the scope of Constructivism, Activity based teaching,
the National Curriculum Frame Work and new Policies of Education.
The
Two-day workshop , moved around the theme ‘21st Century Teacher’ and
has been convincingly accomplished its objective.
